Penny-Wise Is The Way To Go

In order to celebrate Children’s Day, the GMR Foundation, in collaboration with Helm Experiential Pvt. Ltd. organised a fun event on 19th November, 2023, to introduce our young beneficiaries to the world of money management and decision making, in the most creative ways. Our young, sharp minds from classes 4 and 5, Kishangarh School, New Delhi, were provided with 20 play notes amounting to 2000 rupees, to participate in their choice of activities, along with a comprehensive, colourful map. The map highlighted the rate list of the services, along with their location. The activities included fun games, snacks and lunch at Chai Point, haircut, hairstyling and nail- paint application at Looks Salon and shopping for organic perfume sticks and cosmetics. Our students amazed us with their bargaining skills. Other activities included face-painting and Cricket World Cup screening on mega-screens, which the students thoroughly enjoyed. The twinkle in the students’ eyes was heart-warming, this being one of many firsts for them. The day was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, etched in their minds forever.
