Beyond Borders: A Celebration Of Togetherness

Every year, Samarpan School and Tuition Centre in Kishangarh welcomes a group of high school students from San Francisco for a joyful day of connection and cultural exchange. On April 1, 2025, 28 students, along with their teachers—Meenakshi Capur, Emily Wilson, Katie, and Auriane—visited the school, continuing this warm tradition. The day began with a short video on Samarpan’s journey, followed by a tour of the school and Empowerment Centre, where they got a glimpse of the creativity and skill of the women working there. But the heart of the visit lay in the laughter, learning, and play that followed—when students from two very different worlds came together without barriers. The American students and our children played games, shared stories, taught each other new things, and simply enjoyed being in each other’s company. Whether it was a lively hula hoop performance or an impromptu game, pictures being clicked, the joy was in the moments they created together—full of curiosity, friendship, and genuine exchange that left everyone a little more inspired, a little more loved.
