Two of our young supporters stole our hearts and became our inspiration when we found out what they wanted to do, to help street animals. Maahir Desai, a 5th grade student from Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai, wrote a beautiful book about his memories of school, friends and teachers. It also shed light on a child’s experience of the pandemic. For Maahir, the sale of his book has another purpose. A cause close to his heart is cat safety and he decided to launch his book in association with our partners at Bangalore Cat Squad. The proceeds of his book are generously donated to Samarpan and our work with animals. You too can contribute by donating Rs 200 at https://samarpanfoundation.org/donate. Share the receipt with Shail Desai on +91- 9819026622 for a copy of the e-book!
Similarly, 18-year-old Yukta Sharma has an undying love for pets. She has always dreamt of having one of her own and her parents have relented. But unlike most people, Yukta did not want an imported purebred. She wanted to adopt a street dog! Today she calls her dog, Dream, and it is her dream fulfilled. If every family adopted a homeless animal, we would have no animals living on the streets! Let’s all take a lesson from Yukta and support her efforts to adopt these creatures who have only love in their hearts.
