Children's Day: A Day Of Smiles And Learning
India
Children across our centres celebrated a fun-filled and carefree Children’s Day.
In our Bagalur Education Centre, Bengaluru, students had their own special gathering. Teachers surprised the children by performing dances, while the kids sang, danced and played skittles and hoopla with great enthusiasm. A cake was cut, and the spirit of togetherness shone brightly as the children shared it with one another.
At our Kishangarh School, New Delhi, students celebrated with a no‑bag day and came dressed in casual clothes. Children received personalized cards, and some were delighted with surprise gifts from teachers. They also enjoyed a park visit where they played games and took turns on the swings.
Adding to the celebrations, an educational trip for our Aya Nagar, New Delhi students, took them to Baal Bhawan and Lodhi Garden. The students got a chance to explore art, craft, science and heritage. From the Tara Mandal’s ‘Wonders of the Solar System’ to the Air Force Pavilion’s inspiring displays, from village life exhibits to the National Children’s Museum, every stop sparked curiosity. The day ended at Lodhi Garden, where the children played, relaxed and captured memories together.
Students from our Kishangarh School, New Delhi; also visited SPYM, Daryaganj, a rehabilitation centre for juveniles in conflict with the law. Our students joined the children there for a day of fun and connection. A short play and a lively magic show set the tone, followed by games and activity corners like Ring Toss, Put the Bindi and Hit the Glasses. The joy was evident in every smile, and both groups of children shared how much they enjoyed the programme.
The whole experience, games, performance and shared activities, reflected joy, learning, and the importance of making every child feel valued. The children felt loved, carrying a light within them, one they can share and pass on to others.
