‘Period’ is still a taboo word for a large part of society due to the ‘culture of silence’ and shame associated with it. At Samarpan Foundation, we have always endeavoured to empower the community through regular sensitization and awareness sessions on pertinent topics. It was a delight to collaborate with ‘Ujaas’ – an Aditya Birla Education Trust initiative and Manzil Mystics to enlighten our women force in Kishangarh, New Delhi, on 26th March, 2024. The interactive nature of the song presented by the Manzil Mystics team, harnessed the women’s attention. The event was followed by the distribution of sumptuous samosas, mango frooti and sanitary napkins for all our enthusiastic participants.
