Every End Is A New Beginning

Every journey that begins must come to an end one day, and that end is the beginning of a vibrant new journey. It was unfortunate that our schools along the Yamuna River Bank in Delhi, had to be shut down due to the inadvertent demolition of the settlements on the orders of the Delhi Government Authority. The incredible journey of our Akshardham, Hathi Basti, Shastri Park and Yamuna Pushta schools, New Delhi, came to an end, and so did the journey of our staff, some of whom had dedicated close to 10 years of their life to Samarpan. A farewell was organised for the departing staff members at Samarpan’s Kishangarh school on 23rd July, 2023, to honour and cherish their association with the foundation. The teachers revelled in nostalgia, as they were taken through a photo gallery depicting moments of laughter, sorrow and joy. Video messages from our Vice Chairperson, Ms. Roohi Sharma, and revered trustee, Ms. Shradha Vedbrat, brought tears to everyone’s eyes. This was followed by a variety programme where experiences were shared and songs and dances performed by both teachers and students. The day culminated with distribution of personalised souvenirs, as a token of remembrance.
