Finding Homes for our Paw Friends

COVID-19 has not only affected humans but also our paw friends with a rapid increase in cases of abandonment and starvation. Samarpan Foundation, in association with the Bangalore Cat Squad, organized India’s first virtual adoption camp in May, 2020.
The live session on Zoom was telecasted, allowing people to see the cats, adopt and talk to the specialists and volunteers. The prospective adopters had gone through pre-screening and virtual house checks. Upon the verification, they were finally connected on a Zoom video call to choose from many beautiful kittens.
It was a highly successful camp and we look forward to bringing in more virtual sessions as a viable way to spread awareness.
