From Stigma To Strength: A Journey

Families of incarcerated individuals often live under the weight of silence and stigma, with women bearing the greatest burden—left to care for their families while navigating judgment and isolation. Through our Injustice of Justice (IJOJ) Initiative in New Delhi, Samarpan stands beside these women, offering not just material support but dignity, strength, and hope. On 23rd November, we created a safe space for them by organizing a special session focused on self-care, personal growth, and financial independence. Conversations around gender equality and girl-child education sparked reflection and renewed purpose. The session ended with open dialogue and personal counselling, reminding each woman that she is seen, heard, and supported. With every step, we walk with them—toward healing, resilience, and a future filled with possibility.
