Nothing is more important than health. This is even more apparent now, with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. So many people suffer from ill health due to lack of access to basic medical care, which has left them vulnerable to the virus. People from marginalised communities are unable to procure even basic medication for common ailments like diabetes and blood pressure. Our volunteers in Mumbai and Bengaluru have been locating and supporting such individuals by arranging for their medicines, which are a lifeline for their safety. This initiative taken up to address the immediate healthcare needs of vulnerable people, is so essential during Covid times.
