Sensitivity Towards Inclusivity

A pathbreaking workshop on the LGBTQIA+ community, was organised for around 18 teachers of Samarpan’s Kishangarh School, New Delhi, on the 24th of April 2023. Inclusivity and gender sensitivity are so important and educational spaces play a major role.
We, at Samarpan, were extremely privileged to have among us, eminent human rights activist and founder and executive director of The Naz Foundation, Ms. Anjali Gopalan. She impressed upon everyone that the LGBTQIA+ community forms a significant part of society. Hence, the importance of being aware of their present day situation and issues. She did a brilliant job of inculcating a spirit of deep empathy and understanding among our teachers.
