Urgent relief needed in Chennai

The plight of Chennai is plain to see. Incessant rains and the weather forecast stating more rain have made the situation grim. Low-lying areas are the worst affected and the most unreachable. Water has flooded hundreds of houses in south Chennai. Food, water, medicines and basic amenities are the need of the hour. Disaster management teams are stretched to their limits attending frantic calls seeking immediate rescue of residents.
Samarpan volunteers have rallied into action distributing water, preparing and delivering meals and distributing relief packs containing blankets, clothing and lighters amongt other relief activites.
